TO BECOME A SUCCESFUL SCIENTIST, WE MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND USE SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS OR TOOLS.

THESE TOOLS ARE FOR COLLECTING DATA, TAKING MEASURMENTS AND RECORDING INFORMATION.

SCIENTIST USE A VARIETY OF TOOLS TO DO INVESTIGATIONS.

GOGGLES:   Protects eyes from chemical splashes 

HAND LENS: A tool that let you see things you cannot see with your eyes.it magnifies objects.

MICROSCOPE:  A tool that magnifies objects at a  much higher  power than a hand lens. 

THERMOMETER: Measures temperature. 

PAN BALANCE:  Is used to measures the mass of an object to a know unit of mass. 

MAGNET :  An object that attracts iron or steel. 

BEAKER OR MEASURING CUP:  used to measures volume of a liquid.

In order to understand this topic we have to take a look back to first grade and remember 

what are living things?

what is the difference between a Living thing and a Non Living thing?

let's see....

so..what can you say about living things?

Living thing is everything  that is alive. People, animals and plants are living things.

Living things need a few things to stay alive. These essential things are air, water, and food. Both animals and plants need water. 

Non-living things  are things that are not alive. They do not need air, food or water. They do not move. They do not grow and do not reproduce.

fresh water ponds are rich habitats with many animals and plants. 

3. BEACH 

THE BEACH IS HOT, SANDY AND SUNNY HABITAT. WERE FEW PLANTS GROW.

4. DESERT 

IS SUNNY AND DRY

IT IS HOT DURING THE DAY AND COLD AT NIGHT

LITTLE RAINS- FEW PLANTS .
CACTUS, RATTLESNAKES, CAMEL, OWLS, BATS LIVE IN A DESSERT

5.  GRASSLAND 

IS A BIG OPEN SPACE.
THERE ARE NOT MANY BUSHES IN THE GRASSLAND.
TREES ARE FOUND ONLY NEAR RIVERS AND STREAMS
MANY GRASS.
SOIL.

NOT TO MUCH RAINS, MORE THAN IN THE DESSERT. IF THEY RECEIVED MORE RAIN IT WILL BECOME A RAINFOREST IF THEY RECEIVED LESS WILL BECOME A DESSERT.

6. RAINFOREST 

many trees and plants in a rainforest.
